The company takes an active role in these programs on behalf of our employees, working with the health plans and other companies that administer benefits and monitoring the performance of those plans.

Hillshire Brands Healthcare Options

The Hillshire Brands Consumer-Driven Healthcare Plan (CDHP), administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, offers coverage for medical and prescription drugs and provides tools and information to help employees be informed healthcare consumers. Hillshire Brands also offers dental and vision insurance coverage.

Planning for the Future

Preparing for retirement and building a secure financial future is important to you and it is important to Hillshire Brands. The company offers an easy-to-use 401(k) savings plan through payroll deductions and will automatically enroll eligible new employees beginning 90 days from their date of hire unless they elect otherwise. Hillshire Brands provides 100% matching contributions up to 5% with an additional company annual contribution for a total up to 7.5% to 10% of eligible earnings depending on the performance of the Company.

Education Benefits

Hillshire Brands believes that continuous learning and individual development are keys to the success of our company and our employees. To demonstrate this commitment, employees can receive tuition reimbursement for job-related courses equal to 80% of tuition expenses, up to $10,000 per calendar year.

Health Club Subsidy

Employees can receive a 50% reimbursement of annual health club fees, up to a maximum $500 reimbursement.
